Those sold at food fairs by FT sometimes really sub-standard..

Either not fresh or taste funny..
I threw away those 'rocks' the last time i bought from Novena Square food fair.. 😛

There's a booth at Heartland Mall (Kovan) selling this. Quite nice. My students like it. $1 a pack. Not very hard and no funny smell.

I miss the days when my brother and I will push the table to the window and do our homework there while waiting for the 'ding ding' uncle and the 'bell' uncle to arrive! Cos my parents will give us money and ask us to run down to get some 🙂

And we'll race down very excitedly 😄

Was 'Ting Ting Tang' ever chewy? In my memory it is always rock like that's why they needed a chisel and a hammer to knock the candy apart and it produces the sound \"Ting Ting\" hence the name of the candy. Isn't it so?? :?

The old ones I love 'softens' in mouth and gets chewy after..
Guess the recipe gets altered sometimes.. 😉
