Hi Anxiousmummy
Yes. One of the teacher from TVPS received the 2010 President's Award and my eldest daughter who is currently P6 is from her class. I have 2 twins in P3.
The teacher is very approachable and we communicate very closely with each other regarding my DD's progress in class. She is a strict teacher but with passion and understanding towards the students. I congrat her and felt proud of her. The teacher who is very modest said that is because of the parents and students support.
I told my DD that she should be proud of the teacher and must work hard so that she will not let the teacher down and should bring glory to the school just like what the teacher did.

Hi everyone. Glad to find this.
My son is going to Townsville next year!
Hope to see you at the orientation in Nov. -
can any parent share with us the schoolbag load for P1? Iโm looking for a schoolbag for my DD, but canโt decide on a suitable size. Also, does TVPS allow students to keep their books in school? Thanks.

Hi,
Frankly speaking, for the P1 students, they does not have much text book because, they follow the time table quite strictly unlike some school, student got to bring all the books to school as the teacher might change some schedule.
So the bag does not need to have too big but quite a lot of information sheet for parents. -
Thanks! I shall go for the S size, but make sure it's big enough so that any A4 size info sheet will not have doggy ears

Hi,
Actually, you do not need to buy school bag so early. You can buy after orientation since it is holding in the mid of november if i remember correctly. You can take this opportunity to talk to the staff there. -
Just to share... my girl who is in P1 this year has enjoyed school. She has integrated well into the primary school life, learning to do things independently and is coping fine with the schoolwork too. The teachers hv been very friendly and upfront to share about my girl's progress during any parent-teacher sessions. The school also organised a M'sia trip in June which we enjoyed a lot. It also has enrichment courses which students can opt in for the school holidays. Overall, I'm pleased with the school.

On the schoolbag, yeah, no need to get very big ones because there's not that many books to bring to and fro. Students get to keep certain books in school so there's no need for them to bring daily. So far, my girl only brings the chinese textbook daily. Maths textbook is only for certain days. So you see, not that many things to bring. But yes, get one which can fit A4 papers. -
They have a parent support group. Anyof you signed up for it? Heard you can sign up at the P1 Orientation.

Hi,
I did not join but if you are interested, you can sign up during the orientation.
