Being a SHHK member will qualify for Phase 2B . But from the statistics, seems like the number of applicants vs available places in that phase is 151% in yr 2010 for Ai Tong. As such, it is not a gaurantee that the child will get a place in Ai Tong. Anyone can confirm that? Any members here will success stories to share?

Still a tough ballot ahead for Ai Tong and for the more popular SHHK schools, you gotta serve at least 4 years as a member before they will give you the letter to take part in Phase2B. Getting endorsed by a fellow member to get in is only the first step. Those eyeing SHHK schools had better call SHHK to ask about this minimum period of service.
If you even qualify for Phase 2B, I would advise you to ballot all the way at your preferred school IF you are ok with the neighbourhood schools at Phase 2C Supplementary. If not ok, then time to have backup plan. -

Hi, Parents.
Anyone got idea on the procedure of getting the letter for P1 registration from Pastor (BRMC)? My boy will be due for registration in 2012, we’re still pretty lost on what we’re suppose to do even after going through the forum.
fyi, both parents are baptised but not the kids, and we have been members of the church for couple of years. As we’re not very active in any of the ministries, are we able to get the letter? If yes, how to?
God Bless! -

I think the child must be baptised and a member of the church. Just approach your Pastor and ask directly. Or you can ask the church office.Hi, Parents.

Depending on your church, they might require you to be more active in the different ministries. Just approach the church office or Pastor to ask. -

As long as you have been a member for the last 18 months, you can approach the church for a letter. The kids need not be baptized. My kids grew up in a Methodist Church and none are baptized yet - they are all in Methodist schools now.
