My child wears a pair of shoes every year....slow growth rate so saves money for me...

Nike white with velcro....best invention ever for convenient and easy to maintain shoes.

Ours seems to last only 1 term… despite the brand. So far the kids had Bata and the recent ones being Adidas and Nike. I think the issue is the the way my maid cleans the shoes. She likes to use all her ox strength to scrub… this led to high wear and tear.

Just last week, we bought him a New Balance (around $60) and with leather. We educated her about not soaking too long and also don’t use her ox strength to scrub the leather as it’s not necessary. Hopefully it last longer now.

If child has sweaty feet better wash. Mine don't need to wash inside but we still do occasionally and air it albeit no smell.

                  Hi MMM

I'm not expert so cannot comment much but a shoe vendor once told me that a lot of shoes (especially those that are glued on) cannot be soaked as the parts could be weakened. Thus I'm not sure if this is a possible cause of your child's shoes giving way?

My kid's shoes sometimes last only 1 month. He plays football and loves to run around a lot during recess. They usually tear at the front. We have tried Bata, Body Master, Shoes sold at the school bookshops. Each year, he will need at least 3 pairs.

Both my kids have two pairs of shoes that will last for six months. I have this penchant to ensure their shoes stays clean and white so, by the 3rd day, they will be wearing the other pair.

I used to buy Nike or Reebok. But their feet grow so fast. $70 X 8 per year for school shoes a bit steep, so now I change to canvas shoes from Kiddy Palace, costing around $15.

Hehe, I also hardly wash the interior of the shoes. I depend on the sneaker shampoo from Bata. Makes the washing less tedious. As \"yours truly\" here is the maid, I have to find easy ways to make my job more manageable.
