Wow! I would also prefer to reach school at least 1/2h earlier. I live all the way at Yio Chu Kang. I'm supposed to take a bus there next year on my own. Totally lost. No time to do research yet. Haha šŸ™‚

I think a bus ride will take about 45min anyway.
855 or 163, change bus at MacRitchie., to like 74, 852, and some other buses that go to NJC.

NJC website has the numbers of buses going along bkt timah/dunearn.
      http://www.njc.edu.sg/contact.htm

Or you can take 852 directly along Ang Mo Kio ave 6.

        Hi Phankao,

We need to plan our holidays a year ahead..I understand they start Term 1 later at around 11th or 12th of Jan...so when do they hv the term breaks? Is it the same as other schools listed in MOE site?

Next year should be 10th Jan? Yes, all other holidays same as other schools, as listed by MOE.

Just wondering..do they have to go back to school during holidays for projects, CCA etc? If so, how often?

My boy likes to reach school before 7am. If he takes bus, he'd leave by 6am and reach around 6.30-6.45am. He does this even on Thursdays.
            Hi Phankao,

Maybe he has a secret girlfriend you don't know about   šŸ˜‰

Seriously though, so nice of all parents concerned to share the experiences and advice on the Boarding Program at NJC.

Thumbs up to the most info-sharing thread for sec school. :celebrate: :celebrate:

Yah - all taller than him too, and older than him. šŸ˜‰

I usually send/fetch him everyday except when we are overseas though, and he only comes back on his own by bus if my schedule is too tight for me to fetch him.

Hi i got accepted into NJC too. Are the students allowed to stay in during the boarding school weekends? Like, I read some of the posts and someone said Fridays can go out, Sunday evening must come back. Can we just stay at the boarding school for the whole weekend? šŸ˜„
