Newbie mum needing advice regarding p1 enrolment

hey mums/dads
need some advice here. M eyeing on a P1 school which is about 3 km from my house. anyone has any idea if there is a thread in this forum that shares experiences of those who applied for school that are out of 2km range and how high are the chances? hhmmm sorry ar..i cant seem to find it anywhere, perhaps it has been discussed before so i can gain some insight from their post.

It really depends on how popular the school is. If it's an extremely popular school, your child might not get in even if you live next to it. On the other hand, if it is a not-so-popular school, then you could be living 5, 10km away and yet able to get into it.
Perhaps you want to tell us which school you're looking at and we can point you to the right thread? -

im staying in punggol and was targeting
1) Holy innocent primary school
2) Nan Chiau primary --- i noe this is hottest pc of pie as we do not have much \"branded\" schools ard

Can only comment on HIPS as monitoring for a friend.
Phase 2B - good chance for those 1-2km. Beyond that, risk of balloting
Phase 2C - historically balloting for those within 1km. -

hmm thats risky in this case for me. so for phase 2C, does it mean more than 2 km no chance to even smell balloting?
Why is enrolment for P1 so painful in singapore...hahah -
