Hubby & I weren’t interviewed b4 we were chosen as PVs…acceptance was based on the email we sent in…although rejected earlier. We met the principal together with 3 other couples regarding our ‘job responsibilities’ and when we will start chalking up hours…all of us dressed casually in jeans and tees.

wow..well. whatever, i guess if you tried your best and genuine about providing your child a good education, I believe somehow, someway it will work out well. That's the belief I kept to remind myself despite if I can't get him into the school of my choice, it's not the end of the world. -
edrickelleon,
Yup 100% agree. If we can and are chosen to do PV, tha’ts great. But if PV application is rejected, then nothing we can do. Next thing is proximity to school. We should still do our best and coach kids in their studies regardless of school…there is this thing called transfer. So if results are good, school of choice will still take him/her in. -

Hi janet_lee88Hi Sotong_mum,
Those who are chosen to be PV will have to start chalking up hours and finish b4 June next year for registration next July. Did you write in to Rulang too ? If you didn't receive any email, it may mean you weren't selected. Perhaps you would like to call the school to find out ?
Ya...I submitted the form to Rulang. I just called them and they said will check & let me know. Maybe they have missed out! -
Hi missymorr
I jus called them and they said will check. Could have miss out! -

Honestly, even then, I may not want to transfer my child to the school whom initially rejected me. I didn't say this in spike of frustration. But think about this, the school whom took my child in had done a tremendous job for where my child is and the hot school which initially rejected us took the fruits from these so call humble schools?edrickelleon,

Of course in terms of resources, the hot seat schools perhaps they're better in some way to produce consistent academic excellence and that it may seem best to transfer your child so to reap the most out of it. It's a difficult one. But by then, our children may have a mind of their own to decide or aid us to make a decision.
