I know someone, also resides more than 2 km, placed her daughter's name right after phase 2B balloting, first on waitlist. Her daughter got in right before school reopens in Jan. Chances not high, but no harm trying.
PV or transfer after P1 are good options. -

Does it helps if I visit the school personally? Will they entertain us? -
K1 … she is still young.
Child at this age changes very fast.
Certain thing you thought they are not capable of … in 3 months time, they start to show sign that they can do all that stuff.
So relax … just cultivate good reading habits.
As for your place, it is definitely beyond 2 km of PHPPS.
Historically, Phase 2C you will not stand a chance.

Hi Trapwithin,
PV is already OUT for me… now only can bet on transfer after P1… -

My son is bochap
and needs to be nagged to get work done. Even if he does his work, he does so because he has to...doesn't put in much effort.
Gal in K2 is more responsible though. She has homework from kindy every Fri. After bath and lunch, she will take her work out to do. Same goes for her work from RC every Sat. Very different. We hope she will continue with this when she goes to P1 next yr. -

Better council him a bit - coz P5 next year will have tonnes more HW.
My Gal hardly bring HW back in P1 to P4 - says she can finish during school hours.
Now in P5, she has to do HW everyday - esp her HCL, every wk have to do a min of 2 compo (HW given in class, to pass up the next day ..... )
Whatever happens to No-HW Day (used to be on every Wed ? .....) -

Wld like to check with you on lessons for NC and HCL.

During my elder boy's time (since P5), the sch does not conduct extra lessons for NC. Is this still the practice now?
