We were there GoldCoast (GC) 8D7N early September.

Highly recommend for families with kids.

We conquered the following themeparks :
        - MovieWorld (5/5)
        - SeaWorld (4/5)
        - DreamWorld (3.5/5)
        - ParadiseCountry (4/5)

        (entertainment/valueAdd ratings are in bracket)

GC is a lifestyle entertainment by itself, and even adults were amazed at the variety.
Buzzing nightlife, buskers line Cavill ave, heart of Surfers Paradise.

On our last day and night, we stayed over at Brisbane.
        Beautiful Gardens, and Victorian buildings.
You really must try the CityCat Ferry cruise along Brisbane River.

          Hi peng lee,

Glad to see the reviews and photos coz I hv booked holiday trip to Gold Coast tis coming november during Natas. I love the cooling weather too but I think I may experience hot weather instead during Nov. By the way, can I check if you encounter any problem bringing necessities like milk powder as I understand that Australia is quite strict in the custom clearance. Do u bring a brand new milk tin there? Thanks in adv!

            Hi mummyprincess,

FYI, you can bring milk powder but it has to be BN and you’ve to make sure you declare at the custom. All food has to be declared. No liquid milk is allowed even BN. When we were back to SG, i handcarried a bottle of BN pediasure ready mix milk and was stopped by the custom. They gotten my boy to finish drinking before allowing us to check in at the custom.

              Hi Mummyof3,

Thanks for informing me. But my DD drinks Enfakids which is quite a big tin if I were to bring a brand new.... unlike Pediasure that comes with 400g.. :?: I even thot of carrying with me on board those pre-prepared milk powder in containers for my DD during the flight as mine is a night flight and will reach brisbane the next morning.

                Hi mummyprincess,

I think it should be ok to bring pre-prepared milk powder. SG custom are not that strict, just make sure you bring enough for the flight journey and whatever left over, probably you’ve to discard them away when in Aust custom. Check in your big tin of milk powder and declare at the custom. Also, please do not bring anything (milo, cereal etc that are made in M’sia). The custom there are very particular and will request you to discard them away. They’re ok with made in Singapore.

hi MummyPrincess, Aussie custom is very very strict.

                  If in doubt:
                  - email to customs [email protected] for further clarification
                  - declare (if fail, they will ask you to throw)
                  - put everything which needs to be declared (from whole family) into one bag (in case you need to pour out everything)

We brought one x400 unopen tin of milk there.
As for my older boys, they went on \"strawberry or choc milk\" from supermarkets.

                    Hi Mummyof3 and Penglee,

Thanks for all your advices. Looks likely I hv to bring 900g of unopened tin for this trip and forgo my milo & cooling herbal tea satchets which I always bring during my overseas trips.

                      😄

I have booked 7 days tour to GC this Dec.

PengLee, how much is the ticket to Paradise Country Farm? I saw VIP package at A$100 for 3 themeparks.

Movieworld & Seaworld are included in package tour. Optional is Dreamworld. If have package promo, then can incl Paradise Country Farm as each adult ticket for Dreamworld is A$72.

We thought Wet/Wild and WhiteWater might not be relevant for us.

There is really a lot of things to do.

Except ParadiseCountry maybe can finish in 4 to 5 hours (inc lunch).
