I seldom eat nowadays cause now got competitors (my kids)!

Anyway, used to savour it slowly with soya sauce and lots of pepper. Once clear, will pour \"teh tarik\" and slurp. Yummy and not wasted!

            hquek:

Chin mee chin has the most consistent soft boiled eggs I know - and with their luncheon meat bun...it's a deathly combination that is oh so worth it.
            :hi5: hquek

That's where my grandpa used to bring me as a little girl to eat kaya toast with eggs and milo. He used to bring me there every Saturday

It sure brings back wonderful memories. Sometimes, I'll bring my girls there to share mommy's childhood past. The only thing about Chin Mee Chin is their ventilation. Can be very stuffy and sweaty on hot days. 😐

My French colleagues eat the soft boiled eggs. They make a small hole on the top of the eggshell, then use a small spoon to scoop it out. Very dainty, not like how we eat it.

Wa, really very dainty. They prob. :!: :!: when they see the uncouth way we eat ours.

I am chinese and considered a \"chor loh\" female, not the dainty type - however I like to put the egg in the egg cup and crack the top bit, put a dash of soya sauce or salt and dig my spoon in. I enjoy testing myself whether I can get a good crack and admire the preserved egg shell in the end... I weird hor?

I crack the egg into a bowl, put a little soya sauce and stir a little. Apply a little margarine on the bread and then dip it into the egg. YUMMY.

I LOVE quail and salted eggs too, but NO :dowan: century eggs.

I noticed my kids eat half-boil eggs differently.

Eldest ds: He ate without soy sauce and pepper. He will scoop out the white first and gently left the yolk. Then he will bring up the saucer and gulp it. It was very interesting to watch how he ate it.
2nd ds: He will stir everything and mix it with lots of soy sauce and pepper.

We don't dare to eat any eggs that are not fully cooked since the bird flu scare 😢
