People who are going to Bali with family can try to google for villa stays.

There are different types (1 room, 2,3, or more rooms type). Not expensive when you amortise against so many groups. You get the whole villa (typically come with a private pool) to yourself. There is maid service to clean up. Can order bbq dinner (they even pengkan for you if you want).

Hi anyone has any idea where to stay when visiting Bali? Which is good for family? Any good recommendation? I have been to Bali twice, but most of the time were in Kuta, as those days I was still single.. hehe

But many feedback Kuta is v.noisy & crowded, but I like that place. Are other places more suitable for family?
i also stayed at Kuta, dun't think it is noisy....

We stayed at ubud when we were there few years back. It’s quiet, has nice scenaries and ‘countryside’ feel, my whole family liked it. However, active kids may find the place a bit boring as they usually prefer the beach. My kids are fine since they are not the outdoor type. So it really depends on individual.

You can see the photos on tripadvisor to see if you like it.

my friend has been to Lovina Beach ( the most northern part) to watch wild dolphin. but she told me she had to wake up very early ard 4am(depending on the location of the hotel) to reach the beach before tides receded. she hired a boat to chase the dolphins and also managed to see the sunrise…

next time i will choose a northern villa / hotel to experience the fun of dolphin chasing…

We love Nusa Dua for their environment and the 5star hotel…though foodwise is more expensive than in Kuta.

I just got back from Bali. We stayed in a villa in the Seminyak area. The villa had a private pool and jacuzzi and was serviced - they had staff cleaning up the kitchen etc after you have used it. They also cooked breakfast in your villa kitchen, and you could also order BBQ to be prepared in your villa grounds.

We also visited Water Bomb, Bali, which is a water themed park with rides for young and old - great fun for all, and the safety standard for the rides is good, so no worries on that front. http://www.waterbom-bali.com/

The beach at Seminyak is not bad, and there are a couple of places with good food along the beach front too.

All in all - Bali is a good place for a break - lots of sun, beach, good food and spa, and not too far to travel to.

                  Hi

Heard that we need to pay a immigration tax at Bali when we depart? And the time difference is the same as Singapore?

Hi CMF, which villa in Seminyak did u stay? Is it near the beach & other attractions? The Water Bomb seems fun, how far is it fm the villa? I'm planning to go in Dec with my hubby & 2 kids, so now surfing the web for a 2 bedroom villa but hv no idea the villa in which area is good. I would prefer it to b near the beach though. Which website did u book the villa thru?

Yap.. It's Rp. 150.000 per person..applies to child too & there is no time difference.
