Travel: Indonesia - Bali
-
my friend has been to Lovina Beach ( the most northern part) to watch wild dolphin. but she told me she had to wake up very early ard 4am(depending on the location of the hotel) to reach the beach before tides receded. she hired a boat to chase the dolphins and also managed to see the sunrise…
next time i will choose a northern villa / hotel to experience the fun of dolphin chasing… -
We love Nusa Dua for their environment and the 5star hotel…though foodwise is more expensive than in Kuta.

I just got back from Bali. We stayed in a villa in the Seminyak area. The villa had a private pool and jacuzzi and was serviced - they had staff cleaning up the kitchen etc after you have used it. They also cooked breakfast in your villa kitchen, and you could also order BBQ to be prepared in your villa grounds.
We also visited Water Bomb, Bali, which is a water themed park with rides for young and old - great fun for all, and the safety standard for the rides is good, so no worries on that front. http://www.waterbom-bali.com/
The beach at Seminyak is not bad, and there are a couple of places with good food along the beach front too.
All in all - Bali is a good place for a break - lots of sun, beach, good food and spa, and not too far to travel to. -
Hi
Heard that we need to pay a immigration tax at Bali when we depart? And the time difference is the same as Singapore? -
I am also planning a trip to bali in Nov right after the exams

Will be staying in Novotal Nusa Dua for the first 2 ngihts.
And a villa in Seminyak area for the next 2 nights. Any good and clean villa to recommend? -

Hi CMF, which villa in Seminyak did u stay? Is it near the beach & other attractions? The Water Bomb seems fun, how far is it fm the villa? I'm planning to go in Dec with my hubby & 2 kids, so now surfing the web for a 2 bedroom villa but hv no idea the villa in which area is good. I would prefer it to b near the beach though. Which website did u book the villa thru?I just got back from Bali. We stayed in a villa in the Seminyak area. Been to Bali twice. Once at Kuta, the recent one to Nusa Dua.
I would say Kuta is more for food & shopping. As for Nusa Dua, basically all about relaxation. Is a quite place that you can’t get anything (not even fastfood) during the night time. Kuta beach is very commercialise while Nua Dua not… that’s how I feel. -
Hi,
Since you are going with kids, I would suggest you stay around Kuta or Nusa Dua area since you could go to beach easily. I would prefer hotel than villa unless you choose villa with international hotel management. (Please don't go to those private villa, which is cheaper but a bit creepy
)
Kuta, Legian and Seminyak just located next to each other.
Kids would love to go to Waterbom....
You could enjoy sunset from Discovery Mall
For shopping, you could find lots of branded beach wear, art product.
If you like spicy food, don't forget to try the famous BBQ fish at Nusa Dua Area. -
Hi baby JC,
Thanks for your reply, I managed to find out before I left. My family & I had a great stay at Hard Rock Hotel Bali & really enjoyed ourselves, more than our trip to HK recently.
People are friendly & service is good, probably this is more of a relaxing vacation than a shopping trip/ theme-park as in HK.
I will recommend family to go Bali for a short break!
