      Hi

Heard that we need to pay a immigration tax at Bali when we depart? And the time difference is the same as Singapore?

          CMF:
I just got back from Bali. We stayed in a villa in the Seminyak area. The villa had a private pool and jacuzzi and was serviced - they had staff cleaning up the kitchen etc after you have used it. They also cooked breakfast in your villa kitchen, and you could also order BBQ to be prepared in your villa grounds.

We also visited Water Bomb, Bali, which is a water themed park with rides for young and old - great fun for all, and the safety standard for the rides is good, so no worries on that front. http://www.waterbom-bali.com/

The beach at Seminyak is not bad, and there are a couple of places with good food along the beach front too.

All in all - Bali is a good place for a break - lots of sun, beach, good food and spa, and not too far to travel to.
Hi CMF, which villa in Seminyak did u stay? Is it near the beach & other attractions? The Water Bomb seems fun, how far is it fm the villa? I'm planning to go in Dec with my hubby & 2 kids, so now surfing the web for a 2 bedroom villa but hv no idea the villa in which area is good. I would prefer it to b near the beach though. Which website did u book the villa thru?

Yap.. It's Rp. 150.000 per person..applies to child too & there is no time difference.

Been to Bali twice. Once at Kuta, the recent one to Nusa Dua.

I would say Kuta is more for food & shopping. As for Nusa Dua, basically all about relaxation. Is a quite place that you can’t get anything (not even fastfood) during the night time. Kuta beach is very commercialise while Nua Dua not… that’s how I feel.

                Hi,

Since you are going with kids, I would suggest you stay around Kuta or Nusa Dua area since you could go to beach easily. I would prefer hotel than villa unless you choose villa with international hotel management. (Please don't go to those private villa, which is cheaper but a bit creepy πŸ™‚ )

Kuta, Legian and Seminyak just located next to each other.

Kids would love to go to Waterbom.... πŸ˜„

You could enjoy sunset from Discovery Mall

For shopping, you could find lots of branded beach wear, art product.

If you like spicy food, don't forget to try the famous BBQ fish at Nusa Dua Area.

                  Hi baby JC,

Thanks for your reply, I managed to find out before I left. My family & I had a great stay at Hard Rock Hotel Bali & really enjoyed ourselves, more than our trip to HK recently.

People are friendly & service is good, probably this is more of a relaxing vacation than a shopping trip/ theme-park as in HK.

I will recommend family to go Bali for a short break! πŸ™‚

Hi eve74sg, I understand there's another Novotel Benoa in Bali, any reason why u chose Novotel Nusa Dua instead? I'm also planning of staying in Novotel for 1 night (DH is a Accor mbr so we get free stay) & 2 nights in a villa. Have been surfing the web but there r too many villas dun know which to choose. I prefer it to b near the beach. Have u book yr villa....care to share which villa u book & the price & also why u prefer Seminyak area?

                        Hi pinky88,

Hard Rock hotel is located at Kuta, and in front of the hotel is the beach. Kuta is quite a crowded place, but i think it should be recommended for 1st timer. I have been there thrice, but I always love to stay in Kuta.

I realised that Hard Rock Hotel is bigger than how it looked from the outside. It has 2 swimming pools- 1 is a big pool, with an part where there are sand when young kids can play and another pool located for those who stayed at ground level rooms.

For us, we were at the pool & beach everyday. To us, vacation at the resort is to relax πŸ™‚ We had lunch & dinner near the hotel or in the Hard rock cafe. And just some shopping.

As Hard rock Hotel has this Lil hard rock membership, you can sign up and leave your kids there for the some program for the day- which i didnt.. there is a play ground too..

The staff at HardRock are very helpful & friendly. We requested for a late checkout at 5pm and we were granted.

I would suggest that if you would like to stay at Hard Rock Hotel, try to book directly online from the website as they have attractive packages. For my trip,I got:

                        1) Free airport transfer for my family of 5
                        2) Free breakfast for 2 adults & 2 kids (but they didnt charge us for an extra kid)
                        3) 1 Free pizza for lunch
                        4) 1 free bucket of beer
                        5) 1 fee 5R photo
                        6) 1 day free usage of Cabana
                        7) Free 1 hour message for 2 adults

                        Hope this is useful!
