Hi Brenda,Tinkerbelle:
Brenda & Leanne, can I check what is the Astar book you referring to? Don't think I've come across it before? Tks.
Hi Tinkerbelle
This booklet was recommended by Mr. James Ang under this link:
http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12840&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=10
It comes with 7 topical booklets and heard a number of top primary schools are using them as supplements for non routine sums.
You can refer the above link and I find it really useful.
Thank you.
Thanks so much for pointing me in the right direction. Will definitely check the books out.

Hi MoonFlower,hi all,
same here, this year i can see my ds coming home feeling tired. in fact the assessment books we brought are not able to do much maybe just 10% cos there are quite a lot of school homework. Anyway i intend to let him do them during nov/dec holidays, no choice i guess.
Totally agree with you. My DD seems to have heaps of homework everyday. We never seem to be able to find time to squeeze in any assessment books. SA2 starts on 26 Oct for her. Only 1 more month to prepare for it. Hope the workload will ease up a bit.

Hi Leanne,Hello all,
Glad to know that this thread has come alive and we can share more about the primary five workload and the coming sa2 exam.
Hey, when is your child last paper?Am really looking forward to the end of it, though we yet to start the race...hahaha
cheers
Leanna
My DD's last paper for SA2 is on 1 Nov (can't wait). Only 1 more month for revision.
Just completed her oral exams last week. Didn't quite know how to prepare her for oral. Just bought some oral materials and asked her to read up for ideas. We tried predicting which pictures will come out every year but have not succeded once. :scratchhead:
Good luck to everyone for their oral exams. :xedfingers: -

I also think that the Nov/Dec holiday is the best timing to do some preparation as next year is expected to very busy. -
