NANYANG Business School (NBS) has risen two places in The Economist magazine's global rankings of full-time MBA programmes and is now ranked sixth in Asia.
It is at the 69th position on the global league table while the National University of Singapore Business School rose five places to 84th worldwide and 11th in Asia.
The Economist collects data over a three-year period and 'ranks full-time programmes on their ability to provide students with the things that they themselves cite as most important'.
Its criteria include the opening of new career opportunities, personal development and educational experience, increase in salary and the potential to network.
Six of the top 10 schools were in the United States with the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago at number one while Harvard Business School was fourth.
The Economist noted that the recession has had a significant impact on criteria such as graduate earnings and career opportunities which have brought about drastic movements in rankings from last year's list.
