Hi all, my math teacher gave us this question from an unknown school's prelim. I really need help.


Ahmad & Haris together took 5 days to paint a house. If Ahmad & Haris work together for 2days, followed by Ahmad working alone for 8 days, Haris will take 1 more day to complete the remaining work. How long will Ahmad take to paint the house all by himself?

There are more pupils in A than B. 30% of the pupils in A is 45 more than 40% of the pupils in B. If 10% of the pupils in A leaves to join B, there will be 200 more pupils in A than in B.

a) How many pupils are there in B?
b) How many % less pupils are there in B than in A?
(Leave your answer as a fraction in its simplest form.)


I got 2075 for (a) and 76/2/7 (76 is the whole number on the left of the fraction 2 over 7) for (b). Are my answers right?

Please i need the solution urgently!!!!

Did your child's class teacher go through these good school papers with your child, I know some schools do that, this is not related to what you are asking..but wondering if your child's school is like that?

My child's class teacher has given them only random questions. My frenz has been suggesting that we need to make our kids do the entire paper mainly to assess the standard and then for time management. :idea: ????

Oh, I think need to do whole paper..my friend does that esp for time management..I dont have a p6 myself but this is what I hear..but strange that your child does not do in class because from what I know..most of my friends kids all do that now..they even have extra classes just to do exam papers in an exam kind of condition..which school is this do you mind me asking? (so I know which schools to erhmm recommend or not to recommend my friends..)
