My son is having a shaky tooth. How shaky should we wait before we go to the dentist to pull it out?

Any good dentist in Yio Chu Kang / Sgoon North / Sengkang area?

According to a dentist we went to, the tooth will fall off by itself when it's ready to.

True enough, DD had lost 8 of her bb teeth so far, and not once did we need to have a dentist extract it.

So, did the tooth fairy visit her and leave behind a little gift? 😉

No leh...maybe because instead of putting those teeth under her pillow (she doesn't sleep on one anyway...not until recently), we kept them in a tiny bottle? 😉

haha.... whenever they drop a loose tooth, my girls used to put their baby tooth under their pillow. In the morning, they will receive a note from the tooth fairy* and $2**.

*tooth fairy aka daddy. When they were younger, they were so amazed and believed that the tooth fairy actually existed. The tooth fairy will write notes like \"you are a brave girl\", \"so proud of you\" and \"remember to brush your teeth everyday\". The girls will be so thrilled to find these notes in the morning.

As they grow older, they realised that the tooth fairy is their father - recognised his handwriting (even tho he would deliberately write funny or with his non-writing hand). But we never admit it. Still, the girls play along now.

** sometimes, the tooth fairy runs out of $2 notes and have to leave a $10 note instead! I was like :!: Told him that he's tooth fairy, not santa claus 😐

              😉

My child’s secondary set of teeth is all growing hay wire…kindly suggest a reasonably charging Dental clinic for a 12yr old for putting Braces. I heard that if we go via polyclinic, it wd be under subsidised charges but there is a long Queue. Kindly suggest the best way of getting it done?

That's very cute...maybe will do that for DS. Hope DD won't say I'm being unfair!

There are many good private orthodondists.
                      Where do you stay?
I have good recommendations in Punggol (the ortho I went to) and Novena/Bukit Timah (the ortho my mum went to).

Actually, once they are changing new set of teeth and you see that they are crooked, should go to orthodondist IMMEDIATELY.
My sis went when she was P3 and her teeth got corrected as they grow and she did not need braces and has a set of perfectly aligned teeth now.
                      Cheaper and less painful.

HI All, Is it true that there isn't any subsidy for orthodondists? I have got my Girl 12 this year to see the dentist in her school and got a letter from them but it stated no Subsidy to see a specialist.

please advice how much for braces? :?:
