          Hi janet_lee88

Thanks. So schools are now shortlisting parents for PV at this period. Got it.

              Hi everyone

Need advise from parents doing their PVS:

I understand from the admin personnel from the school that I can indicate on the PV appln form on what I am keen to help out with as a PV. Then what about the hours, can I specify like I can only help out in the morning of weekdays from 8am-11am ? I am a SAHM, so can only commit during the time when my DS2 goes to school. Is there such a thing that I indicate the preferred timing or have to go by the school’s given timing. Thanks!

Just remember that if you are too restrictive in your timings, the school may not be able to find stuff for you to do. So my advice is to be flexible where you can.

                  Hifive,

You can indicate your preferred timing but try fitting into the school hours like 8-4pm. Try not to be too restrictive or the school may not shortlist you as PV. If selected, you may even have problems chalking up hours too. To be chosen as PV, parents will usually indicate they are available easily.

                      Hello Hifive,
When i was filling out the PV application form, i only need to tick the areas in which i am able to volunteer in. So now, i go to the school a few times a week, at about 12 noon. Not really a good timing though as its right smack in the middle of the day. So if you can indicate on the form your preferred timing, that'll be just great.

                        Hi xinxin

Many thanks for your advice! Hopefully the school will have some areas that I can contribute in during my preferred time.

                        Regards
