E3. so you haven't received any reply from CH HOD yet? haha... maybe CH teachers can't get use to email yet....But previously my dd's CH teacher responded pity fast.....
That's ok, Jennifer. Thanks for checking. I have accepted the fact that time is reduced for SA2 cos IJJ had confirmed the timing as such for last year's P2 SA2. Shan't wait for HOD to reply.Jennifer:
I do not hv any P2 letters now, so cant reference back.
There was 造句 in paper 2 during SA1.
Actually I had not paid attention to the time limit of the exam papers.
It's good for P1 parents to take note for their kids next year.
I have to note cos my dd writes rather slowly for chi compo so need to see her quality of work if there's a reduction in time. Tried out this morning, she completed in an hour with minutes to spare for both components but her compo was shortened by at least a hundred characters compared to all her past practices. She was still able to write more than 150 chars (min 40 chars) but I dun know how would it affect her content marks. No wrong chars, used all helping words, structure seems fine but a little cliche-ish. Well...I guess most importantly is that she managed to end her story in time, cannot think of jazzing up for the time being.
To all, all the best for SA2! -

Nope. Not yet. Anyway, it's fine. I presume what my dd's Cl teacher informed her yesterday is what it should be. She had probably checked with her other colleagues or even the HOD. There is confirmation from P3 parent too. -
Any mummies with children in Primary 4 ??
Exam time-table (green one) mentioned the zao4 ju4 tested for SA2 will be from practice 1-8 but son only brought back zao4 ju4 6 (in exercise book) today. -
Just a quick follow-up on the P2 SA2 CL paper 1. HOD called. He mentioned that the 20 mins reduction in time was to train the kids to write in a shorter time frame.
He mentioned that the expectation is not as high as what my dd’s Cl teacher expected of them. Her models were always 200+ char compositions for all the 8 practices, and I assume that the kids in her class had been trained to write like that too. However, she told them that they could take more than an hour to write those compos.
Mr Lim mentioned that it would be best if they can write like that but it’s not easy with 造句 thrown in. He might get the teachers to let the kids have a practice in class and see whether they can complete within the hr time frame and not end abruptly.
He also mentioned that it will be 5 造句, not 10.
I guess it is good to train them to write like P3/4 provided that they can be ready to write like that for the exam too. -

Each 造句 is 2marks...and if I didn't remember wrongly, the sentence must make sense and grammatically right. -
Hi, anyone know what will the P3 students be tested for Chinese oral? My kid did not bring back anything about what are the components. Only took back for english oral.

For SA1/2, there will be oral.
For Chinese oral, it should be reading the passage and 看图说话. -
IJJ:
My son has been selected to go for this trip. He said only 18 pupils in class chosen and there were some not selected. I wonder what criteria they used. :scratchhead:
Yup, FT replied no PV too. Jennifer, will your son be applying?Jennifer:
The FT replied my email :Parents are not allowed on this trip.
According to my boy, not entire P3 cohort going on this trip. Must apply first, then see who is selected. -
