      PSLEmom:
From personal experience, the PSLE prep shd start from P3 onwards.......Guide the child for :

Perfect answers for Science with Keywords
Time Management & perfect workings for Maths
Correct Spelling & perfect Grammar for English
      and
      a good Mother Tongue tutor!!!

And to top the list is inculcating the habit of READING (Fiction & non-fiction books) & REVISING!
      Hi PSLEmom

      Thank you for sharing.

Very true Science has to answer with Keywords and not market language.

Maths must manage the time well.

English has to work as per your view.

Mother Tongue - This is the only area I can coach personally and hopefully DD can improve in the quality of compo. by next year.

But I have to add the following... if your child needs tuition for P6, it is better to start him on the tuition class to secure a P6 class in a good tuition center.

        Hi mummyjoyce

        Noted with thanks.

Will have to assess the SA2 result and decide the next cause of action.

Have you started drawing up a revision schedule/plan for your kids?

With 12 months to PSLE, they will need to learn new topics (algebra, circles, speed, etc) AND revise everything they’ve learnt from P1-P6.

I’ve already drawn up my student’s revision schedules by subject then topics & even planned out books by their page numbers & worksheets my students must complete every week, either at my place or as homework.

It’s important to plan ahead and the students know what is expected of them.

Consistent hard work will definitely pay off at the end of the day.

Wah,so fast counting down to 2011 PSLE. Ppl like me counting down to the end of 2010 PSLE

Anyway, of 2012 is the end of the world... no need to work so hard for 2011 PSLE :!:
How come you are saying the same thing as my DS? My DS told me the other day that the Mayan calendar says that 2012 would be end of the world, so I should not fret about his PSLE and nevermind his results. I told him if I had believe that, I would have stop all working and schooling and spent all my money with them in the Maldives from now till 2012!
