For the ignorant parents who do not know much abt SPS, all I can tell u is time will tell. The teaching there is of a low standard. Very little resources. If you want your kids to excel then it's not the right school. If you want them just to go to any sec school and be happy kids with no stress then it's the right school.

Hi, do you have kid in SPS? Like to share your bad experience?

      Thanks.

I used to teach there. you don't wantto know what kind of teachers and ex-colleagues I used to have. Basically, I'm glad I left the school. Super low standard. They've lost lots of good teachers in past few years. Go guess why the rest stayed. I'm being super objective when I say this. Good luck to your child.

I sympathise with you. However, some students did manage to change to Endeavour after a few years. You may try. The marketing for SPS is done very well as the principal is quite a clever marketing fellow. He deserves credit for it. Nothing beats Canberra around Semb region. The std of the other schools in Semb do not even come close to Canberra's std. I'm currently tutoring top students from Canberra so I know better. I'm even hoping to produce the top scholar in Semb estate this yr. πŸ˜„

I am surprised by your post. How long have you left SPS?

If you are talking about 5-6 years ago, I would say that's my impression too. But not now anymore. The school has changed tremendously under the current Principal. I must say he is really good. In fact my daughter was very sad that her Principal is going to another school next year.
Don't have to worry. SPS is definitely a better school. In fact better than some of the school in the estate. My colleague's child is in Canberra and we always compare what they do. I must say my girl is more fortunate to be in SPS.

Rains is my wife's account. :D
hi, if you or your wife have been a teacher, then I believe you should be sensible enough on what can and cannot be said in situations. i feel that you are making a very unfair statement to the school. Yes, you could have left the school due to some unhappiness there but you should not tarnish the school's name by posting such in the forum and scare parents who are sending their kids to the school. What makes you think that the teaching are of a lower standard? I do have kids in the school now and i've compared their teaching and materials from other school, and they are not inferior to others. In fact, i find that they had included alot more than other schools. If the school is teaching of a lower standard, how to explain about their standards in PSLE in which they are improving each year? By luck only???? it takes a long way for a school to nurture the kids... all schools are doing their very part in nurturing the kids. it could only be some black sheep in some situation.

So where are you teaching now? I'm concerned about this school's name too. Not sure what you are going to say about it once you had left.
