All About Pimples

@jtoh - I think Eryacne needs to be obtained from the doc. Haven’t tried asking the pharmacist at Guardian though. Maybe will try when the gel runs out. Neutrogena is available at the pharmacies. Get the one for skin blemishes.

We (and she) don’t know how she got it. The aloe vera is working though. Dot getting smaller and no sign of blemish
-
i’ll probably advice her (my dd) not to pop, squeeze or pick her acne…
consult a dermatologist and ask for a treatment… -
glad to hear that it works…

Thanks kuzco.

Pimple cream alone may not be effective. It's best to use a good oil controlling facewash and antibacterial pimple cream.
I have been recommending these to my students:
Face wash - http://www.iherb.com/Desert-Essence-Thoroughly-Clean-Face-Wash-8-fl-oz-237-ml/3578?at=0
It's out of stock at the moment for iherb but they restock very quickly.
Scrub - http://www.iherb.com/Desert-Essence-Natural-Tea-Tree-Oil-Facial-Cleansing-Pads-50-Pads/3566?at=0
These are cleansing pads, easy to use for teenagers to scrub (exfoliate).
Pimple Cream - http://www.iherb.com/Nelson-Bach-USA-Pure-Clear-Acne-Treatment-Gel-Step-4-30-g-1-oz/6744?at=0
Very effective in minimising scarring of pimples. Early morning I wake up and see a pimple on it's way, I quickly apply and within 1-2 hours, the pimple will not be obvious (can't see but still can feel - will be gone in 1-2 days).

You can find at the above at local organic stores but it's very much cheaper to buy from iherb. -
May have to note cleanliness too if the child has sensitive skin. Forehead and back of neck are the areas prone to skin problem as they are obscured by hair and could trap dirt, perspiration, shampoo & soap residue, etc. It happens to me

I swear by Nixoderm. Cheap and good.

Any recommendation of beauty salon or clinics or products for young boys (age 12- 15) ? Shall we leave it alone because it is puberty period ?

My niece used to have pimples especially when she goes to sec 1. I asked her to use Clean & Clear. Also make sure that she uses it at least once in am and once at night. Now in Sec 3, see significant less outbreak and she is less conscious about pimples too.
If serious condition, maybe it's better to see a doc rather than visiting beauty saloon? I don't know.... I think I trust doc more than those saloon. -
dermatologist may prescribe anitbiotic for serious persistent case
make sure don’t touch with dirty fingers which will make it worse / inflame it -

Have you tried pimple cream with tea-tree ointment in it. It worked for my
niece. I think better not to leave it alone as boys would sometimes touch it or burst it, leaving scars. -
visited a doc recently and was advised to keep skin clean by washing regularly, ie, 3~4 times daily. Also told not to apply any cream on them.

Dunno if that's the correct way coz I read that your face will produce even more sebum if you wash too often coz the skin thinks it's dry. Just wash once in the morning and once before you sleep. Ladies should also use a makeup remover. -

Hi wildcats, I don’t have it with me, it’s not a common brand. It’s very small. The box is yellow and green. I got it from Unity.
