I remember sometime around the AWARE furore (was that 2 years back?), there was also some unhappiness in a junior college brought up by some parents. They claimed that their kids were made to do a paper about \"homosexuality\" and also shown videos on some acts...Parents worried about the influence. I think it was ACJC but not sure though...

I always wondering why morale and religious study are not part of the school syllabus nowadays. I am not pushing e responsibility to the schools but more in a wider exposure of kids in this area. Then at home, parents also play their part too. Eg putting 儒家 into the syllabus.

In the first place, the students that committed the act in a public place within the school premises should be severely reprimanded and send for counselling/theraphy as they are still minors and may still be confused about their sexuality. If they so choose to adopt such a lifestyle when they are adults, it is up to them.

As for the students that recorded the sexual acyivity, they should be counselled too as they should have reported the matter immediately to the school authorities so that appropriate action could be taken. Bear in mind that the students who commited the sexual act did so in a public place - the school toilet and on school grounds so it is not right to say that one has to respect their privacy and not be nosey. IF the students wanted privacy, don't do the dastarsly deeds on school grounds! In actual fact, they are the ones that are making the rest of the student population uneasy.

Religious Knowledge was a subject thought in school for a period of time long ago. Can't recall it was primary or secondary level. It was stopped for some 'reasons'. In Singapore, religion discussion is an OB (out of bound) marker.

A lot of moral eds and practices start from home. As in all discipline, it is easy to preach about the rules, it's living the rules that's difficult. The best time to teach the kids to develop the 'Gepetto' (the cricket that is Pinochio's conscious) is between age1-12. After that, the cast would have hardened.

If religions study can deter people from \"sexual misconduct\", we won't have so many scandalous priests molesting underaged minors.

some are vocational priests, though not common in our part of the world
