Ratio Apple's price: Pear's price = 1:2

Ratio of money paid for Apples:pears = a x1 : (56-a) x2 = 3:1

so a/(56-a)2 = 3:1---> a = (56-a)6----> 7a = 6x56--> a =6x8 = 48

So Apples = 48; Pears = 8
