Mrsbongz:
I would suggest spend 3 days at both park. The kids will love it and have fond memory of it.thank u!! My kids will be 5 and 6yrs.. DH n I were looking at the park map, and find that the stories etc, are not really what they have experienced or heard of. Plus I only have 7 days, and DH wants to spend 2 days in disneyland itself..
Will 1 day be sufficient for disneyland? -
Hi,
for half morning in Tokyo in Nov, is it more worthwhile to visit Hibiya Park or Rikuen-Park?
Anyone been to these two parks before?
Care to share?
Thanks in advance. -
We have booked ANA tour to go Osaka, Kyoto and Ending in Tokyo with tour extension of 3 free days in Tokyo. Included in the tour is Disneyland
and half day city tour to vaisit Asakusa Kannon Temple, NAkamise Shopping STreet.
After that, we have 3 whole days free and we intend to go to the Tsujiki Fish Market, Imperial Gardens. May I have some suggestions on what other places we could visit, either in Tokyo or a one-day trip out? My 2 kids are 12 years old and 14 years.
Grateful for suggestions as this is first time we are in Japan.

waah… 12 and 14… challenging…
Odaiba would be good… modern tech stuff… Harajuku would satisfy their cravings for make-up and teen accessories…
if you have not hit Hakone… that would be a nice overnighter (best to stay at a Ryokan over there)… think Genting Highlands but 100x nicer… -
Not sure where these 2 parks are... which part of Tokyo?
Parks are nice in Spring or Autumn...happymom_aa:

I'm in the midst of planning my free and easy trip to Japan this Dec. My itineraries as follow :
Day1, 2 - Tokyo (Prince Sakura Tower near Shinagawa station)
Day 3, 4 & 5 - Osaka (Hotel Universal Port for 2N and Hearton Hotel Shinsaibashi for 1N)
Day 6, 7 - Hakone (Prince Hakone Hotel)
Day 8, 9 & 10 - Disneyland/Sea (Sheraton Hotel)
I did some research on the location of hotels (other than Sheraton as we'd been there once) and found Prince Hakone seems not a conveninet place to stay. Anyone has good recommendation for hotel/ryokan which is easily accessible and yet not too pricey? Ichinoyu hotels are quite expensive though convenient. Is it also difficult to get food in Hakone other than in hotels.
Hope to get some advice. Thank you in advance. -

Looking at your itinerary, hope you have your transport from Osaka to Hakone, and from Hakone to Disney sorted out. It looks rush and tough to me.I'm in the midst of planning my free and easy trip to Japan this Dec. My itineraries as follow :

hear hear… it turns dark by 5pm… will you be able to find your accommodations…?
We’re still trying to find a reasonably priced Ryokan that can duplicate our experience in Hakone at Ichinoyu… surprisingly we cannot find any… we’ve looked at ryokans in Nara, Kobe, Awaii, Kyoto, Shirahama… nothing beats Hakone for COST and Amenities (we had private onsen in out room)… -
If doing dinner on the budget at Hakone, maybe you can grab your Bento sets at the 24/7 outlet at Moto-Hakone… that will save a bundle and take away a big headache…
This year we’re trying Kaiseki… so no choice, have to spend… not cheap wor… about S$100++ per head… -
My daughter loved Disneysea, more than Disneyland. We stayed at a hotel a 5 min walk fr Disneysea. Its called MyStays hotel, but their English website has dissappeared. She was 4 then, and we went back to the hotel for rest breaks in the day.
We visited the Museum of science and technology at Odaiba - lots of fun robots.
