Hi I'm a newbie here! I juz registered my dotter in GPS n hope to get thru without going thru balloting. We staying 1 km frm the Sch n took us 5 mins walking to the Sch. To be frank GPS not our 1st n 2 nd choice but Schs of our choice are 2 km away n i'm not taking the risk. I hope I making a rite choice putting my child in GPS n hope to knw more about the Sch curriculum n activities caters for P1 students.

Hi parents,
Im a mum of Pri 4 n Pri 1.Over the yrs,i notice tat the school syllabus

Hi moonliu and all other parents
Would appreciate your advice on Greenwood Primary School.
I will be moving to Woodlands at year end and the nearest Primary school to my house will be Greenwood Primary School.
Will appreciate any comments about this school as I am still deciding if I should be a PV for the school so that I can register my DS2.
What do your think of the academic standard of the schools? The overall impression of the teachers? Where do I obtain their PSLE passing rate?
Thanks in advance. -

I agree with you. The difficulty level of exam now is tougher than a few years back. Eg, the lower primary English exam paper now follows P5 format, ie it has synthesis and comprehension cloze without helping words. One teacher I spoke with said it is to prepare the students early. I think the school is trying to raise its standard. The papers are more diffcult and parents start to send their kids for tuition when they see low marks. Depending on teachers, some will give supplementary lessons
while others do the minimum

Indeed can be very frustrating. Are u referring to any particular subj or all? For me, Science is the one that I find we cannot rely solely on text. Have to buy guides, assessments and coach on our own. Other schools also use the same text. I told my child that if her teacher does not teach much, than I have to \"wake up and do more with her\". I have also heard of top schools which do not teach much and parents have to send their kids for tuition. -
I'm thinking whether I should stick in GreenW. or transfer to Admiratly or Woodlands Pri.Can any Kind parent post me some ideas

Now Phase 2C for this school shall be over. This year for those staying within 1km under Phase 2C need to ballot?
Thanks for sharing!
