snowman.697:
intruded\" into the \"adults\" \"All about maid thread\"
Who said that the maids' thread was for adults only? -.-
Aiyoh, hot-blooded young man.
Mummy/Aunty DesertWind didn't mean it that way.

How are your PSLEs going so far? -

OOPS! Another misunderstanding? :faint:
Dear snowman, the words \"intruded\" and \"adults\" were highlighted in inverted commas which means I meant the opposite.
OK thought I didn't have to step into this thread again.
Thanks Duriz!

Okay..Now that PSLE is over for most kids, time for a little riddle...
Only kids below p6 are allowed to post :-)... and please post only answers not the working..
Jack Chan awoke with a start...Feeling groggy, he realized he is dumped inside a tunnel by the bad guys. Looking around, he found a sign that said he is exactly 1/4th distance from the one end of the tunnel. As he pulled himself up, to his horror, he saw that there is a train approaching him from a distance of 600m.
As Jack Chan passed his PSLE, he quickly calculated that whichever way he runs, he will be mowed down by the approaching train exactly the moment he leaves the tunnel. Death is staring at Jack Chan...
1) What was the length of the tunnel?
2) What's the ratio of Jack Chan's speed to Trains speed (assuming both are constant)? -
Since no one replied can I pls reply :please: I am in only P6

Primary kids only…

Jack Chan is trying to master ‘quadrafantbuloblast’, a new feat where he jumps in the air, back- flips twice and forward-flips twice before touching a beam of 10m with the back of left foot.
However this is a difficult feat and he needs to practice every day. The first day he tries, he could only reach 1/2 of 10m. Second day he improves by another 1/6th (that is, he reaches [10/2 + 10/6]m). Third day he improves by another 1/12, 4th day by another 1/20th and so on.
Soon Jack Chan realizes quadrafantbuloblast is a tricky feat that is going to take a long time to master. He wanted to calculate what height he can reach by the end of 1 year. He can still remember a little bit about fractions and LCMs and stuff from his PSLE days but is hazy about details. Can you help him? -
I tried solving this but... screw this. if this question comes up for my psle... then screw everything. im gonna be a stripper
just kidding!
i took psle this year already and thank god that question didnt come up
