CIP hours at Secondary School

CIP is important to IP students when applying for scholarship.Haha, this is e contradicting part. CIP are community work and suppose to be voluntary mah, yet its compulsory to clock no of hours.

And for ip schools, not much to worry abt the 2 points but yet its compulsory. Maybe to prepare for uni? Nowadays applying for scholarship don't simply based on results. I find its a good programe in general but i am not in favour of certain activities. -
How to prove to the school that you have done CIP work? And any type of volunteering work also can?
Thanks in advance!

You need to do CIP with an approved organisation/association. You can check with the school. The organisation/association will usually issue some type of form showing the hours etc and it will be signed by someone from the association. The student has to submit the form to the school. How to prove to the school that you have done CIP work? And any type of volunteering work also can?

Depending on the school. My school gives us a card where we fill up when we do CIP and get the person in charge to sign. Some schools require a letter which you can request. Usually the organisations are already well trained to prepare the letters.

Just check my DS' LEAPS report and realized that he has clocked 93 CIP hours . I was like :!: he is in sec 1.
wow.... :!: closed to 200 hrs ,wonderm:
Same for my ds school. He is in Sec 2 now already clocked close to 200 hrs of CIP. He joined many activities, not just for the CIP hours but some of them happened to give CIP hours.
there's a lot considering yr son is only in sec 2 now....
as for some of the CIP activities, my gal can't participate becos there is a min age of 14 and above.......
so by sec2, she would have more choices -
Hi, what if one has secured an A2 for CCA with only 58 hours of CIP done will the two bonus points be rendered useless?

No, I don't think so. The requirement for 2 bonus points is A1 or A2 for cca. But there's no harm doing 100 hours and pushing the grade to A1 if there's still time. -

Only when you are Sec 1 - You are really on the Ball! Which Sec school are you planning to go to? By the way, you should try to gather the CIP hours in lower Sec.
