You sounded so like one of my frens. The other day she was talking about doing PV for a popular school for her \"future generations\". We agreed that it's good that she is volunteeering for her kids. She reminded us that she's sacrificing her time not only for her kids, but for her grand kids, grand grand kids, etc. Once her kids are in the school and is an alumni, her \"future generations\" will all benefit. Wow.....such profound idea :idea:porcupine:
Yup, both hubby and I were from CHS and NYPS respectively... so hence our \"happy\" problem.
Perfect 'union'!
Wah! Next time I 'scan' through my boy's GFs, must make sure they come from good schools! Save the headache for my grandchildren's school! -

Please call MOE to enquire about availability, decide on which school you want, and then call the school.

Thanks for helping me. Actually, I did send emails to some schools in advance to ask for their vacancies.
The Mar Siling school replied and advised me to fill up the application form for my boy to be put on the waiting list. I'm a little bit hopeful.
Do u have any experiences about waiting list? How many percentage that my boy will be chosen?
Thanks. -

Your first and second post asked about totally different issues. Please clarify. -
It's b/c of my word usage. I have only nephew and no son.
Sr to make u confused. I think i still share with u my concern about the school vacancies. -
Have completed the 40 hours PV at a Sengkang school for 2011 registration. Quite stressful as most of the PVs there are PRs. Am afraid that even with PV, will still need to go thru balloting. Keeping my fingers crossed for the next 8 months

1. given that I am in Phrase2C, why is there still a differential of within1Km and outside 1Km? are my chances higher cause I am within1Km?
Distance sets in when demand exceeds supply. If there are only 20 vacancies in P2C, and there are 30 applicants, priority will be given to those staying within 1 km from the school. Those 1-2 km will be given places if there are still vacancies after everyone in the first group (< 1 km) is given a place. Thereafter, the more than 2 km group. -
Hi All
I'm very new to this forum....very interesting and informative. Was trying to search for a thread on a good boys school (primary) in the east area...but can't seem to find one.
Anyone kind enough to point me the direction?
Also, thumbs up to the moderator and thread starter for this 2012 intake...!
