JB - that's right. I used to see the yellow Bas Sekolah sending kids to NYPS every morning
There will be someone at the school bus counter at the meeting point during orientation. you just need to give yr address andcontact. Then there will be bus driver to call you up around last 2 weeks before school reopen. If not you can just call Mdm Peh, she is the main school bus incharge, she will refer you. As far as i know they even go into JB to pick students last time.wooof:
Anyone knows any school bus service from simei/tampines to Nanyang primary?
Couldn't find any so far

There is definitely a school bus from Pasir Ris to NYPS, so your place could be the same bus. -

:faint:[/quote]not too bad, my DS is within walking distance to NY but still up by 6am....so just half an hour earlier for Pasir Ris is not bad at all

Hi Parents,
I recall there being a component for Ting Xie (CL) and spelling / dictation (EL) for the last few SA1 and SA2 ( P2 and P3 ).
My son is now in NYPS P3, and he had brought back a Ting Xie list consisting of 40 sentances. Each sentance consist of four chinese words. I am wondering if out of this 40 sentances, some will be selected for the final SA 2 chinese exam ? ANy parent know anything about this ?
As for the EL spelling / dictation, am I correct to say that there will be a spelling / dictation component during the final SA2 EL exam paper, and the selection will be from all the entire lists of spelling and dictation since Jan 2010 ?
Iβve been told that some students have already done the CL ting xie. As I do not recall there being any notification, I am wondering if this ting xie forms part of the final results ?
Apprecaite any help and information, thanks . -

all word lists / phrase list that is within PSLE scope will be covered by the teachers - based on the text books and the ting xie list as provided by the NYPS teachers
those word list / phrase list are meant to be applied during the exams at the appropriate levels although there is no specific ting xie per se at actual SA or CA test -

I have students (tuition) who are staying in Punggol/SK and they go to NYPS.
Parents fetch them every morning and they will go to studentcare beside the school until parents pick them in the evening. -
Hi Parents
Did you received the P1 Orientation Information from the school yet?
I read the past forum that we will receive the P1 orientation packages from the school by post.

I actually find this to be rather confusing from the school. Why provide a ting xie list to the students every time before a SA or CA, when it is not specifically for the forth coming test/exam.
For students, and parents who are already trying and struggling to catch up, this is another unnecessary hurdle.
There seemed to be a lack of informing on the part of the school as well. Too often, a document , or list of something is given out, and for whatever reasons, we are assumed to know of it and what to do.
Maybe it is just me...
