When to go for holidays (for PSLE children) ?

Can someone advise me when is the best time to break for year

end holidays? My daughter will be sitting for PSLE exams in
Oct. Is end of Nov good, as I do not want to crash with the
release of the PSLE results and the selection of Sec. school & so
on!

If I’m not mistaken, the PSLE result will release if late Nov. 1 0r 2 weeks later after the school holiday start.

Yes…is around the 3rd week of Nov so better be around at that time. Last year it was on 20th Nov (if i am not wrong).

Usually, it falls on the Thursday of the 3rd week in November.

I'm thinking of scooting off for a holiday immediately after this year's PSLE, say from 15 or 16 Oct onwards. I hope to take advantage of the Deepavali off-in-lieu on Monday, 19 Oct and the PSLE marking days from 20 - 23 Oct.


Does anyone know what the kids would be doing that week immediately after the PSLE cos I don't want to miss out on anything important that the teachers may have for the kids. :?

Based on my own PSLE experience eons ago , I don't recall teachers having anymore lessons with us. They were just babysitting us and letting us play board games, card games, etc as long as we weren't rowdy and misbehaving. If you're concerned about the attendance record, maybe you can check with the form teacher if attendance after PSLE is included and will thus be reflected in the report book.

I know some parents take the chance to go on hols right after PSLE exams because the school will not \"teach\" - probably will have more \"fun\" kind of activities. Just check with form teacher what he/she will do in the week after exam just to be doubly sure.
