        Hi

If I’m not mistaken, the PSLE result will release if late Nov. 1 0r 2 weeks later after the school holiday start.

Pls correct me if I’m wrong.

Usually, it falls on the Thursday of the 3rd week in November. πŸ˜„

              Based on history:

              2008\t20 Nov 08\tThursday
              2007\t22 Nov 07\tThursday
              2006\t23 Nov 06\tThursday
              2005\t24 Nov 05\tThursday
              2004\t24 Nov 04\tWednesday
              2003\t22 Nov 03\tSaturday
              2002\t28 Nov 02\tThursday
              2001\t29 Nov 01\tThursday
              2000\t29 Nov 00\tWednesday
              1999\t27 Nov 99\tSaturday
              1998\t30 Nov 98\tMonday
              1997\t29 Nov 97\tThursday
              1996\t30 Nov 96\tThursday
              1995\t30 Nov 95\tThursday

and the tentative date posted by some schools, the most likely date would be 26 Nov 2009\tThursday.
27 Nov 2009 (Friday) is Hari Raya Haji, so it's a long weekend to consider the choice of Sec Sch for non-DSA students and celebrate the success of your child's outstanding PSLE results.

I'm thinking of scooting off for a holiday immediately after this year's PSLE, say from 15 or 16 Oct onwards. I hope to take advantage of the Deepavali off-in-lieu on Monday, 19 Oct and the PSLE marking days from 20 - 23 Oct.

Does anyone know what the kids would be doing that week immediately after the PSLE cos I don't want to miss out on anything important that the teachers may have for the kids. :?

Anyone knows if schools really bother if P6 kids skip a few days of school after the PSLE exams? Thinking of taking ours to CHina for a week (including weekend) just after the exams. Thanks.

Based on my own PSLE experience eons ago πŸ˜‰ , I don't recall teachers having anymore lessons with us. They were just babysitting us and letting us play board games, card games, etc as long as we weren't rowdy and misbehaving. If you're concerned about the attendance record, maybe you can check with the form teacher if attendance after PSLE is included and will thus be reflected in the report book.

I know some parents take the chance to go on hols right after PSLE exams because the school will not \"teach\" - probably will have more \"fun\" kind of activities. Just check with form teacher what he/she will do in the week after exam just to be doubly sure.
