In that case maybe consider to transfer to other day which that is no public holiday. It is a bit unfair where had paid the full term yet not able to have all the lesson. This is something Berries is not doing quite right unlike in the past.

Anyone considering to drop Berries & transfer to other enrichment school?
      I definitely am.
Is this how they treat parents who had been with them for so long even before they get famous? besides convenience, one of the reason i chose berries is because of makeup sessions during PH. They are extending P5/P6 lessons to 3hrs per session. In such case, if lessons fall on Sunday and two sundays burnt due to PH without remedial, there goes the $ as well as 6hrs down the drain. On one hand, it is mentioned that the longer hours is to ensure that the teachers can have more time to focus on each student, then on the other hand they only provide 15min 'revision' for any lessons missed due to PH. justified?
i am looking at either other centres or maybe just berries WOL programme for ds1 if the time slot is right.

I did not know this, I just signed my son up. But my son really like their lessons so I would probably stick with them.

i guess different centres have different policies.
so long your son likes it, you should have no worries. šŸ˜‰

Could you give some feedback on how good or effective their programmes are? Do you know how they are compared to Tien Hsia? Thanks!

i have no personal experience with TH, although i 'heard'/read from other website that they are stronger at primarysch levels (cannot verify cos i have no basis of comparison).
my ds1 has been with berries since K1 and my ds2 is in their N2 class this year.
foundation wise, berries is really good for preschoolers cos they have interesting craftworks and a systematic curriculum.
my ds2 is in P2 this year; as students approaches primary level, lessons are not as 'fun' as preschool standard (ie more sit down kind of lessons). i find that what he reap during each lesson is not something we cannot do at home with assessment books (sch textbook offers the structured curriculum that we can follow at home), save for their Oral and Compo component. i find the oral component most useful. however for compo, while my boy can write 'beautifully' in berries class assignments in class, he could not duplicate that in a home setting. maybe it's my boy's problem, not the enrichment centre....i dunno.
hence i feel that a more robust compo enrichment is more suitable for my ds1 for now.
                  2 cents.

Agreed with Jedamum that Berries so far is strong in thier preschool programme. I had transfered my DD from Molin early this year. Can said thier lesson is interesting, hopefully I do hope the centre can solve the makeup lessons for lesson fall on a PH.

                      Hi titank,

How is Molin? Was there a reason you quit to join Berries? I am deciding between Tien Hsia, Berries and Molin.

Would appreciate recommendations / feedback on which enrichment centre is particularly strong for primary level Chinese composition component. Thanks.
