I did not know this, I just signed my son up. But my son really like their lessons so I would probably stick with them.
so long your son likes it, you should have no worries.
in any case, my views of the centre is solely my views. perhaps i have been with them for >3yrs already and expected more...

Could you give some feedback on how good or effective their programmes are? Do you know how they are compared to Tien Hsia? Thanks! -

i have no personal experience with TH, although i 'heard'/read from other website that they are stronger at primarysch levels (cannot verify cos i have no basis of comparison).

my ds1 has been with berries since K1 and my ds2 is in their N2 class this year.
foundation wise, berries is really good for preschoolers cos they have interesting craftworks and a systematic curriculum.
my ds2 is in P2 this year; as students approaches primary level, lessons are not as 'fun' as preschool standard (ie more sit down kind of lessons). i find that what he reap during each lesson is not something we cannot do at home with assessment books (sch textbook offers the structured curriculum that we can follow at home), save for their Oral and Compo component. i find the oral component most useful. however for compo, while my boy can write 'beautifully' in berries class assignments in class, he could not duplicate that in a home setting. maybe it's my boy's problem, not the enrichment centre....i dunno.
hence i feel that a more robust compo enrichment is more suitable for my ds1 for now.
2 cents. -
Agreed with Jedamum that Berries so far is strong in thier preschool programme. I had transfered my DD from Molin early this year. Can said thier lesson is interesting, hopefully I do hope the centre can solve the makeup lessons for lesson fall on a PH.

Hi titank,
How is Molin? Was there a reason you quit to join Berries? I am deciding between Tien Hsia, Berries and Molin. -
Would appreciate recommendations / feedback on which enrichment centre is particularly strong for primary level Chinese composition component. Thanks.

I had compared the materials of Molin, Tien Hsia & Berries & find that Berries do have a better edge. In the 1st place I thought Molin would be suitable for my DD but it did not turn out to be.. I guessed Molin is more suitable for P3 onwards.titank:

Hi titank,

I switch my DD to Tien Hsia after going thru one year with Molin. No doubt the materials are slightly tougher in Molin than TH, I would personally felt that my child is more motivated in TH than Molin. Hence, my conclusion is one man’s meat is another man’s poison. As parents, we just need to trial and test.

My DS is with Yuquan Language School since the beginning of the year, so far still find it ok but would also at the same time see there are other chinese enrichment centre. Maybe can consider Xueni, Eduplus, Tien Hsia etc. So far find that Berries is the most expensive among all & with the Public Holiday with no replacement or makeup, definitely would hurt the parent’s pocket more.
Recently also saw some language school set up class in those RC Centre, maybe would also can consider to evaluate them
