Thank you mrswongtuition!I managed to get quite alot of guide books and sample answers from this website: http://www.acmamall.com
Quite reasonable service and prices of books are reasonable *unless you are getting a limited edition or a very old copy that requires shipping in from US -

My son wants to opt for Literature as a subject in Yr 3 (IP). Can someone advise how is Lit in Yr 1 & 2 different from Yr 3 & 4. I’m very worried that he will regret his decision as he is more of the Maths/Science than the humanities type. What attributes must one have to do well in Lit? He is not the emotional type and also does not express his feelings/emotions. Will this be a hindrance to doing well in Lit?

Can u let me know where is Bookpoint and Knowledge store located???Chengg:
Hi Chengg,
You may need to set aside some time at the 2nd hand bookstores cuz sometimes the books may be all over the place. I remember 2 stores - BookPoint and Knowledge.
There may be others now ....
TIA -

Autumbronze,Dear all,
For those who are looking for a suitable guide book to improve your Lit essay writing skills, I recommend:
Sharpening the Senses by Suzanne Choo and Robert Yeo.
Its catered for the Upper Sec level but I don't see why the lower sec can't benefit from it as well.

I went searching for this book in many popular stores but couldn't find it. Do u know where to buy this book ? Thanks. -
Hi there,
Can someone recommend a good study guide for "Merchant of Venice" and "To kill a locking bird".
What other ways to understand the stories better ?
Also, any good books for Sec 2 summary writing and comprehension ?
TIA. -

For Merchant of Venice text, I recommend the Total Study Edition by Pansing (Publisher). There are notes, questions and activities in every scene and it provides in-depth explanations. If the school is not using this edition, I would still suggest that you purchase this as a supplementary guide perhaps from 2nd hand bookstores.
As for study guides, you can try Kinokuniya and Borders.
You can also google online for resources.
I have found these for your perusal.
