2010 DSA(Direct School Admission)

Leanne:
Its confirmed.
I am amazed at this. How is it possible to get a confirmed DSA offer when the student is in P5? The whole DSA process seems to be getting murkier and mysterious. Or is it that I have not understood properly? -
I suppose there ARE special cases?
I know of a cousin's son who got in halfway too.
But i do not have details. -
It is competitve among the top schools to get the best sport students to join them. During competitions, I have noticed many Secondary school coaches will watch matches by the primary school division and start their selection already.
-
tiger262:
For top sportspersons, coaches will approach the students as early as P5 and tell them verbally that their DSA is as good as confirmed. Don't believe they'll give them a confirmation letter. The student will still have to apply for DSA in P6, go through the selection tests etc and unless they really screw up their GAT etc, they'll be able to get in.Leanne:

If a confirmed letter from the school was indeed given out in P5, it'll be interesting. -

no black and white till formerly the DSA process is over, and DSA is only for P6, although some activities in P5 do have some bearing for DSA in P6 -
I would like to clarified, this is just verbally by the coaches to tell them to apply thru dsa to the school, only for few top seeds of certain sports.
It is not by the school or what ever...
As all know, there are some cca sports having their competition as soon as term 1 (Feb), how would you win every year without them... -

so there is no confirmed offer for Pri 5 boys, and still must apply via DSA in Pri 6I would like to clarified, this is just verbally by the coaches to tell them to apply thru dsa to the school, only for few top seeds of certain sports.

After submitting the DSA School Preference Form through one's Primary school, would there be any verification slip given?
Am concerned now as a verification slip could be printed out if you submit your preference online. Even more concerned if the school loses the form or if the clerk enters the info wrongly  -
obsession:
Best to submit online. Less human error. After submitting the DSA School Preference Form through one's Primary school, would there be any verification slip given?
