      Ladies,

I agree that maids can strain the relationship between the couple...not only that, between employer and her mum.

Since I do the housework and the FUSSY one at home, I told hubby he is not to get involved training the maid or else there will 2 very diff standards. He agreed and hands off...or else you will hear 'why sir can, why I cannot ?' Maids can ask you questions like that. :stupid:

Teaching maids to be CLEAN is the hardest, esp when there is a bb.
Ironically, when I have no maid, I argue less with hubby...bcos to him :x , having a maid around means I am very free, just have to tell maid to do this and that.
Can never understand what these men are thinking. I always need to check on those dishes washed by DH thus I try not to let him wash. Those dishes at my in-laws house are never clean so this is norm in their family. Hope my DD won't have these \"good\" genes!

        Mrs Ang,

I don’t wish to enter into the topic of in-laws in this thread but just a quick one…they do not practice hygiene…told my son if he is staying in my house, he better not be dirty. If he wants to, he can be in his OWN house in future. Bathe when he has to, and not wear his overnight clothes the whole day and laze around the house. Yucks.

The men don’t get it, do that ? Hygiene is so impt now, with SARS, HFMD and whatever illnesses which were never discovered. It’s too late to regret. I see kids rolling about on the playground outside and wonder if they bathe after they reach home.

          Hi All,

I will be going maid-free on 1st week of 2011.

How those full-time working moms cope with household chores, teaching kids, sending to enrichment and cooking?

I have 2 young kids, will be turning 5 and 2.5yo in Jan 2011.

I feel restless even with a helper. She basically helps me a lot in coaching my 2yo girl. She teaches her loads of stuff.

My dad is our private cheft. He does all the cooking and marketing whereas my maid is more on household chores and taking care of my 2yo girl.

I don’t intend to have maid, hope i dont need one in my life anymore.

My phobia is how well i can cope with the daily chores and most importantly is to teach my kids.

I can see it can be very challenging.

Hair usually sticks to mop. I usually vacuum up the dust/hair before mopping...usually the mopping is to remove the stickiness.

Once I vacuum the floor, can almost close my eye to mop since the hair and dust is picked up by the vacuum cleaner. Irritating to have dust and hair stuck to the mop.

The twist twist to remove water type seem to be a \"hot\" thing now as a lot places are promoting it. But the head of mop seem to be too big to squeeze under the sofa , coffee table & etc.

                        Hi Janet,

What kind of vacum cleaner are u using?
I dislike pulling the wire around to vacum the whole house, that irritates me.Also, find the air around the vacum cleaner very hot and that makes me perspire most of the time and foul mood.thank you.
