It's really :siao: studying in Singapore. Since the beginning of this year, my brains refused to wake up and yet I can't sleep well. I can't imagine myself going more NUTS when son is in P6. Sure :siao:[/quote]Actually my p5 son already has his HCL 2 weeks ago, so the results for that already out. That's why today is last day. Now can concentrate on other things, and holiday.
janet_lee88, obviously lah. but I also know my children. My brain cells long killed lah. It has refused to work already. haha. 3rd time going through psle liao.phankao:

Hi phanko,
I take everything my son tells me (regarding easy/hard exams) with a pinch of salt...bcos I only see the actual results. Next week will be marking week. Whatever will be will be...no point crying over split milk, that's what I always tell him.
Still have CL tomorrow & Science on Fri. This education system in S'pore is killing the brain cells of parents prematurely. -
A friend told me to let son continue with HCL if his results allow. From what I observe, if he continues with it, my worry is it will affect his overall results. He is an average student and being a boy and very playful, Iām very concerned with his results this year.
At a loss now, but will see how it goes. What is your opinion ? -
Hi Brenda10,
Am sure she will be fine with the english paper.
Your dd school papers are quite well spread.
My child basiclly has not much stamina left after the marathon papers.

I suggest you check with the shcool.
For dd school, once you committed you have to stay one year and not half way withdrawl. -
Hi Phankao

From what neighbour told me, if the parents insist the child take HCL even though results are not good enough, child has to drop it if his CA1 result doesn't reach the expectations.

He's super happy about it i guess. He's got a very busy schedule with loads of hard work until mid-Dec (hopefully), but it's non-academic.

It is parent's choice to take / not to take HCL. Eg. even if school does not recommend, parent can insist child to take HCL and school has to grant that.

By end of P5 for HCL kids, based on student's results, school will decide if kid will continue with HCL or not. By then, parent has no say if school insist kid drop HCL if they don't make the mark. Similarly, parent cannot withdraw if kid's result make the mark and school insist kid to be in HCL. However, having said that, most school will not insist if parents are very adamant to withdraw, though they will try their best to persuade if kid can make it. -
Hi Phankao,
that is nice.do enjoy your break before the next race.
