Maybe for a start just let her get used to concentarting for half an hour and gradually try to extend the duration. It may be very stressful for her to have to concentrate for so long, that’s why she switched-off. It is also frustrating for your DW if she is not cooperative.

      Hope things will improve.

        Hi,

Just finished reading all the posts on this topic and realised that I am not alone. That itself was a great feeling! 😉

DD and DS are in P1 this year and yes I have also been feeling the pinch of their studies. CC was a breeze for them with no HW and lessons learned at lay. Primary school is also fine, except for some 1-2 page hw a few times a week. But it is the doing of all this at nite, after I am back from work which is really taking a toll on us. Yesterday for example, DS took more than 1 hour to finish 1 worksheet each of Kumon (Maths and English) and then another 20 mins to do 3 sheets of maths HW!!

But I've learnt a lot here and hope to implement it once I go home today - start small and slowly build it up....

I suppose if it's not affecting her school grades, don't worry too much?

Mine same same. She even coloured all the pictures in her exam papers during exam :faint:

Really!! I think it does affect her grades. I mean if she were to pay a bit more attention then her grades will improves. 😐
