Any plans for them on this holiday? I am wondering shd I drill her or just let her enjoy. Oh... I am a FTWM cum PTS.

We are not gg for long holiday but will be sending her to Adam Khoo's 5-days camp.

I am a garang kuni women, have got all four subjects , and dont really know how to "throw" cos I still have a preschool child. So headache.I also wish to see a clean shelf soon…Errr…maybe throw already then will not look back…[quote="Leanne"]

I used to think I can keep the staff from my DS for my DD (4 yrs apart), after ALL, both of them are in the same school…

Now my DD is in P5, and I have finally decided to Junk everything I kept from My Elder son’s time - Syllibus have changed, format of exam not the same, text book 90% changed …

My Advise, U can keep your shelves prestine clean - No need to think of passing your P5 stuff to your pre-school next-in-line …

          Hi Mummies,

Reading your posts about Higher MT makes me worried...whether to let son continue with HCL next yr or not.
DS was offered HCL in his P5, I have my reservation, but DH wish him to try.
So TRY he did .... but He could not get thru the 75% mark by end P5 .... So Naturally dropped out from HCL in P6.
          This was 4 years back.

DD, who is in P5 this year, is also taking HCL.... with a difference, she is Strong in the Subject ....
However, came back crestfallen after her HCL compo a couple of weeks ago .... Teacher say most of them have written :offtopic: ..... Something to do with wrong time frame .....
She was GREEN with apprehension .... Could Get \"ZERO\" for content .... That's what her teacher say, (After telling them that She expects ALL of them Must Get at Least 32/40 for HCL Compo!) ....

Did the best I could to ask her forget about it, and move on with the exam ....
Let's see how it goes next week when the results are back .....

              Hi mummies

For Science, I have randomly selected some open-end questions in Upper-Block Science 3-in 1 Revision Papers and let dd see the answers keys as a reference on how to answer in short with the key words.

Now she is doing maths and same time enjoy the CL songs by 刀郎,
优客李林, 文章 etc after 1 hour game.

              Tomorrow will touch on CL.

              Looking forward to Wednesday.

I'm not able to relax even though son's exams are over...it's like I was busy busy busy looking at revision time-table and suddenly it's so free.
Discussed the issue with hubby regarding HCL. Was telling him that if son gets a good grade to continue next year, I don't want him to do so since every subject is getting tougher.

Your daughter's teacher has HIGH expectations !!! 32/40 for COMPO ???

                  Hi Leanne,

I know exactly how you feel...love to do spring clean after son's SA2 every year. On one hand, I want to keep, but then syllabus keeps changing. Even textbooks cannot be 'recycled' bcos daughter's school will not be using the same titles 😢

My kids are 4 years apart too.

Hmm... it's possible for HCL. My ds & his classmates were so resigned to doing badly - most did \"ming ti\", after their tr told them they need to hv written in another way. Thankfully their papers were marked by 2 teachers as is the standard practice, and i think most did reasonably.

From what I understand, EL and CL compo are marked by 2 teachers, even at P4. But 32/40 is SUPER good. Does the child have to memorize some answers ?
