Hi Janet,Hi ksi,
Sorry, mine different...as long as she doesn't have to cook, she is too happy. On the condition that the place she is eating at is high class.
My mum doesn't like to eat out...even a simple fried rice cooked at home is better than eating out. That's why my kids hardly eat when we go out...they will be picking the food and refuse to eat.
Wah, then your MIL is really something.
So your mum is the traditional sort too..home-cooked meal is anytime better. :celebrate: -
Hi ksi,
Yes, she wants her hair to be set nice nice…if she cooks, very big deal liao. She will give 101 excuses not to cook reunion, for eg, house not big enough, don’t know what to cook etc etc.
Yes, my mum believes in home cooked meals anytime…so if she is going out, she will make a soup first…so with a soup and rice, kids will have something decent to eat if we are too tired after going home. -
Sounds like my MIL! Her worst excuse was that nobody helps her to prepare the food n the after washing up! :stupid: :x I did offered my help but she always says not necessary and besides I don't know her kitchen well.. :stupid:
In fact, I think she gives 101 excuses not to cook is b'cos she doesn't know how to COOK a decent chinese meal
:!: And she doesn't want me to \"show off\" my cooking skill in front of her cos' that will make her looks \"bad\" and feel \"lousy\"...... [quote]janet_lee88:

:congrats: We share the same type of MIL from HELL!!!! :celebrate: -
Hi Loner,
When I offered to wash bowls, she said NO NEED, bcos she will use hot water. Fine, now I don’t bother anymore.
The very thought of a meal with them gives me a headache and a sucky feeling for the rest of the day…having to put up with her, siblings who show-off/talk big etc etc. Even if there is a lobster, I won’t be happy eating. -
I wonder why some MILs thinking is still so behind times...Maybe, they need reminder that 1960s policeman wears kaki shorts now policeman wears long pants. Don't they know, money is hard to earn? Or ....maybe... I guess & could be correct, MILs are jealous of us DILs!!!!!Or could they be thinking that we DILs are gold diggers  , married to our Dhs money??

Yup...they are VERY jealous of daughters-in-law bcos these women spend their son's money, esp SAHMs. Not to forget the sisters-in-law, bcos this group of junior MILs are so used to having their brothers at their beck and call and it's not possible any more. -
You know what, when I don't bother to help, she will complain to the rest of the family members that she is poor old woman who has to do so much housework @ her age.
Bingo! She WINS the game (Again)!

Hi loner,
I guess we have to accept one thing - they are simply good at acting hero and wailing the next. When they lose in terms of being at fault, they will use their triumph card - CRY. :x
