      Hi citygirl,

Me! I m eagerly looking for the report! I m worried about it.. which GRC are you looking at?

      citygirl:
The electoral boundaries committee has been convened and the talk so far is that there are going to be more SMCs. This is going to affect some parents who are volunteering to be eligible for P2B registration in the 2011/2012 registration years.

Just wondering if any parent is, like me, eagerly lookng out for that report and wondering if they'd be on the wrong side of the fence after the boundaries are redrawn?

Anyone can share how is the workload like when volunteering in CCMC as compared to RC?

Since CCMC is more on management & the scope is wider, does it mean a EM in CCMC has more meetings and activities to attend as compare to a EM in RC?
It depends on how \"On\" your RC is. Anyway, activities which the CCMC organised also involved members of the RC.

I'm anxious on behalf of my sister who is volunteering in Holland Bukit Timah GRC.

As for myself, I gave up some time ago when I realised it wouldn't work for me cos I'm plotting to move to within 1km of the school. And the GRC I'm looking at - Tanjong Pagar GRC - is pretty large, and could well be carved up.

From the rhetoric so far, I think there will be plenty of changes...

Oh, I really hope the changes won't affect me! ๐Ÿ˜ข :nailbite: ๐Ÿ™

Please keep in touch on the changes!!!

Hmm... if the PAP MPs are talking about it, I'm sure it's going to happen! But as my DH says, no point worrying as there's nothing we can do about it. If your child is born 2005, you might hopefully just make it. The committee needs time to deliberate, then get it gazetted. Hopefully, all this will come after you register mid next year!

My best friend had her son in a year with very low birthrate, and MOE ended up cutting one class in every school, making it more competitive. So I think it's hard to predict demand based on birthrate for the year.

Tanjong Pagar GRC is helm by MM Lee. Unlikely will be carved up in this coming election bah

Hi Heard alot about being an active community member such as RC, CDC, CCMC, NC and CCC to gain priorty in primary school phase 2b registration. Does anyone know if other communities such as CSC, WEC, SCEC, YEC, IAEC or MAEC also eligible for phase 2b registration? Got 2 version of saying from PA after enquiring with them.....

No, being an Executive Member (EM) of these committees does not make you eligible for P1 registration in Phase 2B. Only EMs of RCs, NCs, CDCs, CCMCs and CCCs are eligible.
