My silly dd is worried about her results now, coz her HMT teacher told them one of them in the class did not get band 1 and she is worried it be her. Obviously she didnt inherit my boh-chapness..

That means all others get band 1? That is a very encouraging result as a whole.

Oh no, yesterday she came back to say that was for the normal MT paper. For the HMT, only 3 girls or so in her class get band 1, and she wasnt one of them so she was quite sad. Need 22/25 to get band 1, so tough ah..

Yes, she still can maintain about the same marks as last year. But as the level gets higher the paper will get tougher. Just hope she can maintain the same standard till P6.

If I am not wrong, the orientation on 19 Nov starts from 2pm till 4pm. Must bring your gal along ok!

Dear all, my DD is going P1 in 2013. I should be able to apply for PV now? Normally when do they accept application for PV?


For the 40 hours of PV, I will need to clock it 12 months before the P1 Registration? That means if P1 Registration is in July 2013, means I need to clock the 40 hours from June 2012 to May 2013? If those hours obtained earlier than 12 mths prior to P1 Registration, still counted?

Oh its in the afternoon, not morning? My dd is in P2 this year, and she be performing on that day and I have applied for leave to watch her perform, hoping that it be in the morning so that I can do my hair in the afternoon... hmm.. need to change plans now, thanks for the info

Your dd going to P1 in 2013 means u be registering in Jul 2012? In that case u need to be a PV LATEST by Jul 2011. And yes u can start applying now since it is already Nov 2010. The hours u clock now would still be counted, since they are taking u in for the Jul 2012 intake. I applied for PV around Oct/Nov time frame too.

In the form, we will put in both parents name for PV? And when we are accepted, either parent can volunteer for the activities to clock the hours?

Oh sorry i said wrongly, it should be the acceptance notification was in Nov. We applied sometime earlier, maybe around Aug/Sep timeframe.

Yah u put both parents names down, and either or both can clock the hours. But mine was a few years ago, so I guess it be better if u check with the current PVG about the requirements after they accepted u in case of any changes.

This year’s Discovery camp won’t be held at RGPS anymore…Initially thought of signing my girl up for the camp since she will be familiar with the environment…
