jetsetter:Oh, thanks so much for the shopping tips! Will sure put that into my itinerary .....
Either go to Kiddy Land at Harajuku (but they sell non-Jap toys like Barbie as well) or take subway to TOKYO station, B1 Basement First Avenue (all the Japanese toy and stationery shops are in this underground mall including Plarail, Tomica, NHK characters, Sanrio, Shinkansen, Keropi, Doraemon, etc.).

RE: Raffles Girls' Primary
suku:
Yes, I did received the email from school early part of the year on the schedule which is only a rough estimation of those exam dates. That's is why I am expecting the exact form/email as to the dates for each subjects.
May not be related, but actually the Admin manager sends a Calendar of Event for the Semester 1. We receive it on the 21st Jan. That would give a good guide of the various important dates, so if you have missed it perhaps you can check if the school has your email.
Never know is a new practice that acknowledgment slip is not compulsory now! -
RE: Raffles Girls' Primary
Hi mummies, is it normal not to acknowledge the Semesters Examination 2014? My girl has been holding onto this form since 4 Apr and did not give it to me until today. When I question her why didn’t she return the slip to teacher, she said, Teacher say no need, which the teacher also did not ask for it.
I am expecting an email notification and form for parent to acknowledge. Only when I casually ask my girl about her exam dates, she then tell me the form is with her for LONG LONG TIME!!! -

RE: All About Full-Time Maids
hquek:
Hi hquek,hi bicky,
Good that you manage to retain a good maid (even if your sis didn't). it's very strange becos usually the grandma or mum are the ones to find fault with the maid - for a man to be so picky...sigh. I pity your sis becos she'll have more to deal with if she doesn't get another good maid.
Yes, keeping the maid is also a back up plan. In case the new maid cannot handle, we have the current one to assist. Ya lor, usually maids will have problem with their Mdm or ah mah. Maybe my mum witness how much she has done for the babies & appreciate her. Likewise, the maid also appreciate my mum for her understanding & care.
