      Hi Leanne,

I got the Karcher thinking it will pick up the eraser dust, didn’t expect battery life to be so short. But vacuum using the the big one. Hubby got the irobot, and I’ve not used the vacuum cleaner since the beginning of Oct. Irobot cannot clean corners.

Recently i bought a Dyson city, really ex but worth all the price. The sunction is really good and i ended using it not only to vacuum areas that irobot can’t reach but for vacuuming shelves, fans, windows, beds and sofas. Save me lots of time from dusting and wiping. Its also really small and light, so i actually carry the vacuum cleaner around the house.

I swear by Rainbow. A little noisy but since it’s water based, my kids have less respiratory issues.

IM gg maidless in 12 days time.

Actually IM feeling kind of excited cos nv really wanted a maid. It was my mom's request but after 2.5 yrs of maid, guess she realised it was a waste of $$$ too. 😄

Looking forward to days of privacy, secured belongings, hygienic environment (i know it sounds contradicting), safety for my kids & mom, no \"broken things day\", no \"mom nag maid day\", no \"use wrong cloth/pail/equipment day\" etc.... (the list goes on and on)

              Hi cantbearit,

You will enjoy the days of being maidless…privacy and freedom to do anything. It’s exciting…bcos first thing you will get rid of all their stuff…their cutlery, mattress, pillow and blanket.
I know what you mean by hygienic…my flat feels cleaner WITHOUT a maid…could it be a psychological thing ?

when i come back home after a long day's work & find the floor dusty, i wld be annoyed. maid claimed to have swept & mopped! now that i'm maidless, when its dusty, i dont have to be annoyed with anyone. just do it myself 😉

                  Hi SullyM,

No need to be upset with anyone…just be happy. Ironically, I’m so much happier without a maid to upset me. I’m a SAHM…if I’m in the mood, I do more housework that day, if not then I just close 2 eyes and don’t do anything…not answerable to anyone and hubby cannot complain either.

Definitely not psychological. My maid can put hand towels & my undies in the same pail. 😛

I also think I will throw out all her stuff on 13 nov (the day she leaves Singapore). Hee....

                      Put it this way:
                      pay $0 house is dirty
pay $350+$170+$xx (increase utility bill/food bill/ things replcement bill) house is still dirty
                      😉

                        Hi cantbearit2,

Yes, no need to pay & no need to put up with attitude = FREE
                        Pay $350 salary + $170 levy + $25 (every 6 mth for doctor) + see shit face.

I threw out ALL the stuff that the maids used…kids insisted that her cutlery be thrown away too.
