If you do not opt for Catechism, your girl will attend Ethics class. Both are during curriculum time at the same time. In Catechism class, they have a workbook to buy. I heard that they also pray in class and learn the usual bible stories which are in the workbook. Other than that, yes, they have singing of hymns and prayers at other times of the day e.g. during assembly etc which all the girls are exposed to.eg.
a)-does it mean that my dd will be exposed to moral teachings/ Bible verses/ mini-sermons/ prayers/ & singing of hymns & choruses during assembly times, ie in the mornings (which is wot my son gets at his school rt now.)
b)-or will they meet separately at another time each week to have a Catholic religious studies class....?
c)- or something else? -
Hi guppy,
Parents now are allowed to opt out of Catechism class. During my time, all of us, regardless of Catholics or not, have to sit in and listen. Ethics is good and teaches morals. BTW, are there still as many masses now ?
Does Father Simon still go to IJ ? -

For P1, ballet is once a week but it get increased to twice a week in P2Hi Mummies,
Anybody let your P1 girl join ballet next year? Is the class once or twice a week? Thanks. -
Hi noixlml,
We had so many masses then…like it or not, Catholic or not, compulsory to attend. But it’s not so bad since it is a prayer either for the country or teachers. The priests are jovial too.
Now, parents can choose whether to let the daughters attend Catechism or Ethics. I’m glad that I have chosen this school for my daughter, the principal seems to be open to parents’ opinions and warm. -
Is there something wrong with the school website? Cant seem to get there

Hi,
My girl is not a Catholic, and just wondering whether it is good for her to attend the Catechism class or Ethics class?
As she herself wanted to learn more on bible studies and I am thinking that Ethics class is good too as mentioned, they teaches morals.
