I just checked the balloting history for this year and in the case of HPPS, the balloting under 2C is for > 2km. Not sure why HPPS is quite \"cold\" this year with the 2004 kids' parents, but you can probably try to see next year's trend. By the way, when is your DS due to be registered for P1?

For NYPS, you have to bear in mind the massive Farrier Road project that would soon be launched.

How about through grassroot leader route? You would have more choices of schools in the Holland- Bukit Timah GRC.

I thot HPPS balloted for 1-2 km this year for 2C ? If you dont like PHPPS, then HPPS may be a good chance as in 2008 everyone within 1km got in without balloting for 2C.

Initially, I also thought so, but the balloting history found on KSP shows that balloting was required for >2km (green colour) in 2010... or have I interpreted the chart incorrectly?

Alamak! Just realised that the chart is probably not updated yet as all the tables below the chart do not have figures in the last 2 columns!

What happened? Chief too busy to update? :?

In that case, then Luanee is correct. I am very sure there was no balloting within 1km this year as a friend got in under 2C without balloting.

If you just want the total applicants and balloting distance for each phase, u can get them from the MOE website during the registration period. But must get them fast coz MOE will overide the old data with new ones once each phase proceeds. I save them all in excel spreadsheets. Other info I gather bit and pieces from the forum here, or each school individual websites.

What sort of stats u require? I only have the distance breakdown for these 2 schools. The rest only the total number.

For NYPS phase 2C:
2008 : Ballot within 1km, 62 for 55 places ( 1 person out of 1km)
2009 : Ballot within 1km, 55 for 47 places ( 1 person out of 1km)

For Fairfield 2C:
2010 : Ballot within 1km, 65 for 55 places (3 person out of 1km)

Added ACS's one for u. Do note that the numbers indicated are the total number of applicants. Some of them may be staying out of 1km or 1-2 km which means they do not have a chance to ballot if balloting was conducted for those within 1km. So actual number of ppl undergoing balloting is slightly different.

Chief's chart is on the front page (or home page). You can see the balloting history of P1 registration on the left hand side. Maybe someone will give the link. I am not too sure how to do it. Sorry.

Schools' website is another place that you can find such info. NYPS has very clear tabulation of the numbers for the last 5 years.
