Very scary indeed...I logged out for half a day and was shocked to see so many posts.

This is indeed a thread which offers the most information and helpful tips for parents coaching their kids.
Checking means RE-DO, not flipping pages...this is what my son's form teacher told the class.

Yup. It's worth the effort. I put that in my last post too. πŸ˜‰

            Jennifer:
A classmate's mum called me to inform me next week got sports activities for P3, Tues, Thurs, Fri?

She is not sure if the activites are full day. Any mum can confirm next week sch programmes?

My boy has stopped wheezing but doc advised no physical activities. So maybe next week just go back to sch to collect test papers, return test papers. Wow, this is first time we have an early sch hols in place πŸ˜‰ Did someone ans my prayer on keeping my boy at home???
The 3 days are 9,10,12 of Nov for stds to participate in P3 multi sports programme. From 8am to 12 pm daily. It is quite good as there are 5 sports for dd to choose 2.
Just receive today (P3), 11 Nov 2010 is declared as a promotion cum marking day, hence no school. (don't know whether this apply to all levels)

I don't think my dd is careful by nature. At times, she does make careless mistakes. The most effective way for her is to make the mistakes, and then learn from them. Then, hopefully, she doesn't repeat them at the crunch of the moment.
this was exactly what i told my dd. i will only allow her to make that mistake once, and she has to learn from that mistake and never ever repeat the same thing again....

RE-DO must do it as though it is a brand new paper.
A lot of kids Re-Look rather than Re-Do.

Ask her to re-do, and in the end the re-do answer is the wrong one and she happily choose that. No time to re-do again, what can I say?!

I called office to ask whether there was a marking day cos was planning for a short trip if it's a no-school day. I vaguely remembered there was last year. The 'new' admin staff told me don't have and she was very sure there won't be. Sigh. I should know better.
