My dd also ignored me when I tell her certain things. At this age, probably they have their own mind set.

Stress level is especially high during her exam for both. She can be her unusual self.Rude and show temper. After the exam, she is fine.

I am sure next year, primary six has more such roller coaster to come.

Anyone has similar experience and how you manage your child? Thanks.

[/quote]I have learnt to just try to control and not \"nag\". eg. if i see her playing games on computer and ask if she had studying to do, she'll purposely continue playing and ignore me. But if dont' ask, she will \"zi dong\" go and study after a while.

But my daughter is 16, so cannot compare with 11 year old.

My son is very crazy over his toys…esp those which gives him the feeling of being a hero. According to a psychiatrist, this is due to stress and the ‘feeling’ of triumphant.

Yeah, The First NO-NO to do with them is \"NAG\" .... We will definitely get the cold shoulder from them.

There's NO ESCAPE from ALL these Internet Games that is the Faze among the Teenagers - yes even the 11 years old!

Sometimes I marvel at the Level of Multi-Tasking that my Kids can do : While playing Internet Games, he's also chatting with His friends on Line, Looking thru FaceBooks, Listening to K-Pop Songs on his Headset, with the TV On - showing the Latest Animae they have DownLoaded ....

                Hi phankao,

Looks like teenagers are the same as those 'Terrible 2s'... 😢 So, have to be buddies with kids when they reach their teens. It's going to be a another learning experience for me and hubby in a few years time.

I wonder what my son will be up to, when he goes to P5 next year. :?

                  Thanks for sharing.

Some kids, the more you nag, they cannot take it, they will do as what you say. Some kids, you dont nag, they think its right and hence become worst and worst.

Really dont know what is the right methodology to go.Sigh.

Maybe some reverse pyscology will work.Am not sure though.

                    Hi Lynn

Same here as dd always like to say \"I know\" before you finish the questions.

For our case, I realize that during the exam period she had no much mood of doing the revision as such is better to let her kick-off during the holiday as well as normal timing and to slow down during the exam period.
