We’ve received a letter from school on the stuff to bring…it mentions that DS should bring a file for homework. Is it for worksheets or for books? was wondering which kind of file/folder to buy… DS1 has an irritating habit of folding every pc of paper he gets into airplanes etc… so if they get worksheets as homework often, I will need to prep him too… any advice pls?

I won't worry too much about that. PH female teachers are very strict & fierce, your ds won't dare to fold paper planes again once he gets it from them. I'm not exaggerating 😐

          open-sided plastic file will do...

normally, teacher will ask the kids to write the homework in the communication book.
homework will be given either as worksheet or in the workbook.
for worksheets, once the teacher has marked them, they will be filed in the individual subject files (those colour files in the booklist). occassionally, parents will be asked to sign on the worksheets/workbooks/exercise books to keep track on the kid's progress.

think is very hard to ask my ds to take HCL as she doesn't read CL books at all... :x
Ha Ha, My Gal Never Read CL Books at ALL too, but she's in HCL Class!
Some more in Banding Class C1???? :?

I try to tempt her to read Chinese Comics, but Alamak ... She says \"Fan Ti Zi\" So many, End up She's Now Hooked on the English Version of the Comics Instead ..... 😢 😢

The Joke is until P4, whenever she's asked to write Book Review in Chinese, She always END up with the story on \"Kwei - Tu Sai Pao\" - U Know, the Tortoise and the Hare ....
Lucky she's been having different CL teacher Every Year, So No one knows she cheated and wrote the same Review every year   ....

Anyway, if U really do not want your Gal to take HCL, U can OPT out, even if U R Offered ....
but she won't b in CH, FA, GR, HO Class ....
                  Can bear with IT?

                      I know 😢

I'm pretty worried abt next year. If my dd has to do HCL, then the school will only cover the HCL texts in school n apparently we hv to coach her on normal CL? scary. anyway I'm not sure if she wil b offered HCL or not so I told myself not to fret abt it yet.

Hi, may I know what is the min. marks to take P5 HCL?
think is very hard to ask my ds to take HCL as she doesn't read CL books at all... :x[/quote]Hi Pench, I'm not too sure. I think only students in d top 4 classes are offered HCL. N apparently has to hv scored well
                      for CL.
